Visa on arrival at Vietnam/ Bo Y border?

Hi there!
I have a problem! I'm in Kon Tum and my visa for Vietnam is running out tomorrow. I'm not sure if I can get a visa on arrival at the Laos border. Today everybody told me I have to go to the police first, but they are closed for three days because of a holiday....
Does anybody know for sure, if I can get the visa at the border???? (I'm from Germany)
I hope one of you can help me!!!!!

Yes. Visas are available at the Bo Y border to go into Laos.
