Hey Folks,

I was just wondering about the restrictions of the visa upon arrival (probably by land, maybe by air.... if that matters).
My passport will expire on August 13th 2013. They say one needs at least 6 months validity of their passport, and at least a couple blank pages. I will arrive around Feb 7 or 8 this year.
Would/ could they possibly refuse my entry based on the amount of validity on my passport?

Many thanks for any input!

Nucker

You will just make it. You need 6 months for most countries.

It looks like your passport is within the rules, so I don't see any problem with that. My passport had about 8 months and was OK for Visa on arrival. With any Visa question, it may pay to put your nationality, if you are travelling on an Afganistan passport, you'll be in strife.

Heh! Good point Jonappleton.
I forgot to mention that I am traveling on a Canadian passport.

The problem you will have is exiting to Thailand or whereever as 6 months will have expired

Hey Yaraboy,

That's also a good point. But, Thailand does not require a visa. They give 30 days upon arrival. Therefore, would I need the 6 months validity?

Thailand no longer requires 6 months validity.

You'll be fine (just) but don't let this happen again ;-)
