Vang Vieng without "the party"

I wonder if it's made a difference to the number of people on that part of the pancake trail now so hopefully when I get to Luang Prabang, hardly anyone will be there.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it has a knock-on effect with the young backpacker crowd, even to the point where some will skip Laos completely if it's no longer possible to get blind drunk and leap off a giant swing with cranking loud music. Boo Hoo.

I would say that Lao would be pretty much off the radar now that it's all over , the young back packer crowd were hardly there for the fantastic Karst's in Vang Vieng , now that the party is effectively over i would say that you will see a marked reduction in numbers going to Lao , and a increase in FMP numbers and with Cambodia been cheap alcohol wise i think that they will try and move the party to Cambodia ...

Also i did see a marked increase in the Dreadlocked Banana pancake munchers in Phnom Penh back in last August ...
