Hello!
Need ur help.
Have a 2 month visa for thailand ...it says "good for one journey to thailand"
I entered thailand on 30th october and on 9th nov crossed the border to laos.
Now wanna go to cambodia and would like to cross thailand (from vientiane)...
I am confused... Is my visa over then? I just know that when i go back to thailand even now i can only stay for 2 more weeks.
Who can help?
Thanks

Sorry, your Thai visa (single-entry) expired when you left the country. You can get another one at the Thai consulate in Vientiane, or enter visa-exempt for 15 days, but note 7 nationalities recently qualified for 30 days by land entry not 15 (US,UK,Japan,Canada,Germany,France,Italy). Or you could go to Cambodia via Laos (the south is nice).

Thanks! Today i also found out that travelling by bus to cambodia (siem reap) is faster via laos than thailand. Is it true?

Not really. Probably about 24 hours via Laos (plus the inevitable delays), Vientiane-Pakse night bus then border then maybe have to stop next night in Stung Treng or Kratie then another long ride to SR. Meanwhile more like 15 hours via Thailand (also plus delays but Thai travel is generally more efficient than Laos). Night bus Nong Khai - Bangkok, bus to border, then 3 hours to SR. Really depends if you want fastest transport vs. more interesting journey.

Re #1 and 30 day land entry for citizens of US,UK,Japan,Canada,Germany,France,Italy. Looks like its the "G7" countries (rich buggers). Wish they would make it for "G20" countries as well, that would include Australians.

Without knowing where you will start your journey to Siem Reap it is not really possible to say which would be quicker but I find it hard to believe it will be faster "via" Laos

Nothing is faster "via Laos".....

As anyone who travels overland in Laos knows.
