Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knew and could recommend a good tour company in LP for my parents. I was looking at green discovery, but not sure if that will be quite appropriate. My parents are 70 and active, but they're not going to be jumping on bicycles, and might not be up for walking the streets all day, and sawngthaews might also be a struggle. I know that limits things somewhat, so I'm hoping someone might be able to make a suggestion. They'll be in LP for about 3 days I think. I'll show them around Vientiane but won't be able to join them in LP, so I'm thinking a guide/tour would be best for them.
Thoughts and suggestions welcome.
Dom.

If I were you, I'd contact Green Discovery and tell them exactly what you've just told us, and ask them to put something together. You - or your parents - may pay a bit more for a specially put together package, but it wouldn't be that much.
We use Treasure Travel laos .... not the cheapest but good valueand honest as ... google them
green discovery are also good .... reputable ...
when will they be there????
Luang Prabang is a compact small town with practically everything within easy walking distance from each other. I think your parents would have a better time in town on their own, rather than with a tour operator. It is very easy to get a taxi (tuk-tuk or car) if desired in town or to go on nearby excursions such as to the waterfalls. Also easy to get a boat to go to the buddha caves upstream. I was 78 when my wife and I were in Luang Prabang in December 2005.
