RE: busses from Muang Sing

are there busses going from Muang Sing to Houayxai ? when there are how long do they need for this trip ?

Same queston : are there busses from Muang Sing to Oudomxai ? And last question : what about busses from M.S. to Luang Prabang. Thanks. hein

Buses regularly travel from Muang Sing to Luang Namtha town, about 50 kilometres. The morning buses are best. From Luang Namtha to Houayxai is about 140 kilometres through some pretty spectacular country.

I'd overnight at Luang Namtha, quite an attractive little city. Then onto Houayxai in the morning.

Buses also run from Luang Namtha to Oudomxai, about 120 kilometres.

All of these routes are easily doable by bus, just remember that the hub will be Luang Namtha and you will most likely have to layover for anywhere from an hour to overnight.
