Hey guys...

I'm sorry, I know it isn't the perfect branch, but I don't know where i should post this...
I'm travelling Laos at the moment, and I've got a Problem: How do I get my Mosquito net on a stonewall?

I hope you can help me

cheers Phin

Don't know. I've only put them up inside bamboo houses where there are ropes running down the center of house for just this purpose. Are you sleeping on or beside a stone wall? Guest houses usually have screens.

Get a hammer and some nails. Problem solved.

Silastic or Super Glue!

You won't have this problem often - in fact, I had it twice in eight months travelling in SEA - but in these situations, I was very happy that I brought two little metal hooks and a long line. The hooks went into some wooden post (and that's always around) on/in the wall, a line between them, problem solved.

I also remember, that once, in Luang Prabang, I knitted my net to the ceiling fan...

I hope you don't end up having to pay for those holes in the wall. ;~)

More seriously, might buy some twine and see if there is anything along the walls [a nail or bolt or anything you can tie the twine on yet strong enough to bear the weight ] that you can tie off your net. You'll need at least two points unless you're you've got a net that has a hoop at the top.

My dear, a special team of experts in hanging up "everything" has been dispatched to your location to gather strategical data relevant to your situation, you can be sure that the best of minds are working to resolve this conundrum.

Stay safe! :)>

Never had a problem rigging someting up with just twine. Lots of preexisting holes (for the ants!), nails, seams and usually people as close as the gh lobby or the house-owner's family member who are use to rigging things up. Few stone walls (except in our minds). Not that my personal designs always held up through the night...

I carry 8-10 m of thin strong nylon cord. Works for laundry too.
