to those of you who may know the answer to my query....how long does one expect to wait to get a visa at Vientian upon arrival?

Around 5 minutes - not long - just wait in the queue!!!! Make sure you have your passport photos and some US dollars with you.

It depends if there are other flights arriving or how many passengers on the same fight as you. I say....good 15-30 minutes.

If you have the form filled in before you arrive together with your passport photo, and if you are sitting on the first row in business class and are able to be the first person out of the plane, I will guess it will take you two minutes and 30 seconds, provided you have the right change.
