Dear all,

I'm wondering just how much a budget stay in Laos would be? I'm concidering visiting Laos just before I go to Perth, Australia in order to do some work. It seems that from Laos to Perth would be around 700 Euro's? Will it stay around this price?

Also, having a Dutch passport, I am wondering about the Laos Visa conditions. Is it a free one-month entry like Thailand (the country from which I will be entering)? Unfortunately Laos does not have an embassy in the Netherlands, so I'm having some trouble finding out about the conditions to which I am to abide. Are there any costs involved? What would be the time granted?

Yours sincerely,

Jop

maybe a fortune teller will be able to give you indications about the future evolution of air fares. right now, you can book with malaysia a one way for about 650 usd and a return ticket for about 900usd. fuel surcharge may get up, or down ... or not.

you get a visa on arrival in laos. the cost depends on your nationality (don't know for dutch passport) , around 30usd.

#5, you're looking at around 300-400 euros one way, still cheap but not as cheap as you mention.

For 200 euros you will have to fly out of Singapore to Perth

I called the Laos embassy in Berlin a few days ago. And for Germans (Iwould assume also for Dutch) you can get a visa at arrival for 30 days for USD 30. You will need 2 pictures.
