I need to fly from LP to Chiang Mai, or possibly, Bangkok on the 2nd January 2008.

Normally I would just book a ticket a few days before in LP. However I assume that at this time of year all the flights will be full if I tried to do this.

Does anyone know how to book flights in advance from outside LDP?

I am not sure where you live, but try the link below and see if there is a Lao Airlines representative near you. We used the one in Sacramento, California and they were very helpful.

Yes, either call the Lao travel agents or call Lao Airlines directly in Vientiane.

You can buy Air Lao tickets (ie LP-CM) from Air Gorilla and they can fed ex them to you. I absolutely needed to make a certain flight and they were great, if a little higher priced for the service.

Also, try Bangkok Air LP to BKK, which I booked from US.
