Hi again TT'ers...

Sorry to ask again, but who has used the Laos Airlines AirPass, and how did you book it?

I'm travelling SE Asia next Mar/Apr and want to use Laos Airlines Air Pass for:

Hanoi to Lubang Prabang
Lubang Prabang to Vientiane
Vientiane to Paske
Paske to Siem Reap

Help me please with your experiences if you have used this service previously... I don't want to travel by road (not enough time) and this air pass seems the way to go - please respond.

Greatly appreciated!

Dear Ozscott,
Have just booked one of these passes through Flight Centre in Oz.Flight Centre probably won't know much about them at first but once they check they will be able to help you. This pass is called the discovery pass and is a combination of flights between Bangkok Airways,Siem Reap Airways and Laos Airlines.I got my information from an email from Bangkok Airways and advice from this forum to book with a travel agent in Australia.I probably like you, am used to booking most things on line. With the passes you have to book between 3 and 6 flights. The literature from Bangkok Airways said that most flights are $65 (US)plus taxes with some of the longer ones costing $90.
All our flights were $90 ones plus tax however. Also many of these flights on the popular routes are said to be booked in advance.
Our flights were as follows Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang ,LP to Siem Reap,SR to Bangkok. It cost us a total of $1142 (Australian $) this was for 2 adults and 1 child(75% rate).Be careful to ask Flight Centre what their conversion rate from US to AusT. $ is as they tend to work the conversion very much in their favour.Todays rate topped at .93 cents US to $1 Aus.
Good luck
