YIKES I walked by the VILLA LAO WOODENHOUSE just yesterday and even took a picture it looked so nice. Very upscale (but not THAT upscale). It would be hard not to find a room in LP there are so many guest houses. I got one on January 3 earlier this year. You can't get much more peak season than that. We were stressed at first when our usual two places didn't have room but now we know that it is easy to find a room the farther from the tourist area you go. And then you really are not that far from the tourist area anyway. LP is small enough.

First time I'm spending more than one night . I am totally amazed at the number of tourists here right now. Some larger groups also. Many seniors, too. This town is changing fast! The rain and nasty weather ended on Sunday. Blue sky and warm since Monday. I need to get out of this internet cafe!

Hi rowbare, thanks for your fresh fresh news! good to know about the weather, not the same about groups..anyaway this is how things are going...hope to find a quiter atmosphere when I'll move south, Pakse and the islands, early January.
