Inexpensive, basic guesthouse in VTE near airport

Thought I posted this yesterday! Anyhow....

Have an overnight stop in Vientiane next week and as I don't know the city well just wanted a recommendation for a guesthouse. Cheap and cheerful is good as I arrive late and leave mid morning, and really don't need anything more than the basics.

Close to the airport is best. If you know of somewhere, just a name and the village if possible. I speak Lao well enough to get there :)

We're talking about Wattay airport?

If so then have a look on google maps, you'll see airport is 10min drive from downtown.
No need to necessarily look for something super local to the airport though there's likely a few in the vicinity which cater less to travellers and more to nightclubbers.

Thanks Butch. Yes, I know the airport is really close to the city. I have been to VTE a few times before. Thanks for the tip about the "guesthouse" situation. Got it ;)
