If you visit Kuang Si Waterfalls, near Luang Prabang, be sure to see the new Butterfly Park just 300 metres from the entrance. Its centrepiece is a large net-enclosed garden, the air full of butterflies of many colours. Leaves studded with butterfly eggs or crawling with caterpillars and you watch butterflies busy laying eggs. Outside there's a pretty garden with orchids, waterfalls and a pond with a cafe run by a Dutch couple. Perfect for a rest after Kuang Si Waterfalls!
