Four of us traveling in mid March. We're looking at the option to boat from Muang Khua to Luang Prabang.
Is this possible in March? Would we have any problems "chartering" a boat either all of the way, or part of the way? We're older men and pretty large at that.
Any idea on boat travel times?
River may be low in March, although between MK and LP it is usually passable (Hat Sa to MK can be too low more often). You will not be certain until March. Thankfully, there are options (bus) if this river route isn't available.
If the river is good for boats, they will be available in MK in the morning.
