The only way to describe this is the 'bus ride from hell'. The bus was suppose to pick us up at 2:00 AM, we finally boarded @ 3:00 AM when we received our introduction to 'sleeping buses' from the woman who was running the show.
Sleeping buses for the most part in SE Asia are meant for Asians, which means very small narrow people. They are built so your feet go under the person in front of you, who is being held up by a hollow wedge. They are very uncomfortable but that isn't the worst part.
The woman 'boss' had three people she ordered around besides the driver, she always did this by yelling. She also yelled at the passengers. The bus made many stops so that she could collect and deliver cargo, thus making the bus 5 hours late, needless to say any connection that we thought we might make was gone.
Never take this bus, it just isn't worth it, it took 30 hours to get to Danang. We are very experienced bus riders having spent four months in Central America last year all travel being done on 'chicken' buses. This was a terrible experience.
