I doubt he could be Christopher Kremmer, JB. After the book he wrote I doubt the Lao government will issue him with another visa.

No, they definitely won't. He spoke about it at the Ubud Readers and Writers Festival last year. He was copping a lot of flack from some guy in the audience about quoting sources without them being aware of the use that their words were being put and thereby endangering them. I don't know anything about that: but I do think if you're going to read one book to get some background on Laos, his book should be it. People say it's a bit out of date, but I reckon it might well have another five to ten years before it passes its use-by date. That kind of "travel writing" is great, sorta like William Dalrymple.

Okay, guys, please get back to it.

Funny JB, someone else thought I was funk_e - I'm sure you would have read that thread, so you would know how I responded. I truly can't be bothered to respond again to that silly idea. If you are not perceptive enough to tell the differece between a 'tag team' as you put it, and someone trying to act as two people, that is YOUR problem.
