Hi!

I came here to ask from more experienced people some advice. Im going to Cambodia soon (in 7-days) and gonna fly to Phnom Penh.
Probably gonna move ahead from Phnom Penh pretty fast to somewhere "better" place in my opinion but where?

I want to know where i can find some calm place to just enjoy and not too much party/drugs/worries. Maybe some island?

Maybe good to menton that im going abroad first time. Some usual n helpful tips are also wellcomen.

Thanks !

Dear travellers,

Im in the process of booking my southeast asia vacations for July. Me and my wife we will have 16 days off, and we agreed we would pass one week in thailand.

For the other week I was keen to do only Vietnam, but the wife coerced me to include Cambodia.

So currently the plan is to spend half week in Vietnam and half week in cambodia. It feels rushed, but since we will be flying everywhere maybe its doable.
Current plan:

night 1 Hanoi Vietnam
night 2 Ha long Vietnam
night 3 Ha…

Hi,
as I know, USD is the widely used currency in Cambodia. But there are some practical questions.
How difficult is it to get change from 100 USD notes? (In my country most money changers has only 100 USD notes)
I also have some older notes - mostly from 2006 -, are they accepted, or should I change them before the travel?
As a last resort, is it possible to change euro to riel easily in Cambodia?
Do ATMs accept Maestro cards, as well, or only Mastercard/Visa?

We also plan a trip from Siem reap to…

bus

hallo everybody, I need some help to plan my trip. I will leave from Hué (Vietnam) next week, and the only stop in Vietnam I want to do is in Tay Ninh. The bus tickets are very expensive because of Tet, but there is a cheap flight from hue to hcmc.
Then I want to travel to cambodia visiting: Siemp Reap, Kratie, Phnom Penh, and one between Sihanouk or Kampot.
I am just wondering which is the best itinerary to follow.
My questions are:
is there a bus from Tay Ninh to Kratie, or from Hcmc to Kratie? If…

Will this work well in Cambodia? Is there enough coverage to justify taking it? Any tips and guidance appreciated; we are at the older end of the age spectrum!!!
