A WARNING:
I put my valuables in a "locker" at the OK Guesthouse in Phnom Penh (near the silver pagoda). When I got my stuff back ALL my cash had been stolen (about 200 USD in Baht, USD, CND). They even took my Canadian dollars (which I need for a bus ticket when I get home). It all seems very official there, much more than other guesthouses I've stayed in, but pay no heed. They will steal your cash.

Since my first trip in Cambodia (my country of origin), I use to go there during summer holiday but I've never heard about the Artisans d'Angkor.
My last visit in Siem Reap, my friends living there recommend me this place.
The Artisans d'Angkor is a Cambodian company with minor public participation that was created to help young rural Cambodian find work in their home village, providing them with a vocational trade from which they can earn a living.
The company has many locations: Chantiers-Ecolesā¦
Hello,
I was curious if anyone knew if most hostels supplied mosquito nets, and if not, are they needed?

We just returned from a trip to Cambodia. We spent 4 nights in Siem Reap at the Two Dragons Guesthouse and we HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that wants to have an easy-going, CLEAN, friendly, worry-free stay in Siem Reap. Gordon is extremely knowledgable and gives very helpful advice (before via email and during our stay!). His family and staff made us feel right at home. They can also advise on a number of travel options if you are in the market for a driver or help getting around to theā¦
We just had a brilliant trip to Siem Reap. If you are in the market for a knowledgable, excellent English speaking, reliable, friendly and all around GREAT GUIDE for the temples at Angkor and the rest of Siem Reap, please contact John Teng. His communication and reliability was wonderful from the very beginning emails. He helped us above and beyond being our guide to Angkor, and even took us to a childrens play-gym for my 20 month old son who was very much in need of play time! The driver Johnā¦
Hi there. I am planning a months trip to Vietnam and Cambodia via Singapore and of course am doing this on a budget. So basically not a huge amount of time or money. I can get great priced flights from Singapore to Hanoi. I wanted to travel down through Vietnam, cross over into Cambodia and fly to Singapore from Phnom Penh (or Siem Reap it doesn't really matter).
However I can't find a cheap flight out of Cambodia - they all come in around $200-250 USD. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Hi,
I believe there are options for going by boat from points in the south of Vietnam to points in the south of Cambodia. What are they, what's been satisfying and what hasn't been? Can I attain a Cambodian visa in the process? I'd appreciate any advice.

hey,
I am thinking of going to SE asia for 2 weeks, We would like to see Ankor Wat. I am looking for suggestions on what to do for the rest of the time. That is, if we spent 4/ 5 days in Siam Reap / ankor Wat, what should we do for the rest of the hols. We were thinking of either staying the full 2 weeks in Cambodia or spending the time in Thailand. More than likely we will fly into and out of thailand so maybe it makes more sense staying there.
Any suggestions appreciated,,,,,,,,thanks!
could someone please help me with the following and please excuse my ignorance:
i am visiting siam reap to see temples for two days and was told that the approx.cost of the car would be $25US and a guide $20US.
a is the guide another person beside the driver which means that there are two people with us or can you get the same person to be both guide and driver so only pay one cost of about $25 instead of $45US per day
b if they are different people do i really need to have a guide?
c i believeā¦
Does anyone have advice on a mellow place to stay on the beach in Cambodia? I'm looking to spend around $10-15 US, quiet, with good seafood not too far away. I will be in the area the end of July/early Aug, is it adviseable to book ahead? Should I count on phone or email bookings to be held?
Cheers.
