Hey Folks,
Myself and my girlfriend are heading to Cambodia in November as part of a RTW trip and have 10 days to spend there. We will be coming via Vietnam and are just wondering if somebody could give us a rough idea of what is possible to see/do based on our limited time. We obviously want to see Angkor but we know there is much more to Cambodia than this.
Any suggestions would be greatly anticipated!
To bigal1 Is there a bus company 6-9 or did you mean six to nine bus companies ply these routes? Not all on each route I assume. Sorry to be so dense. Paul
In your suggested itineraries you mention about going from Sihanoukville via Kirirom national park to Battambang...how do you go from here to there?????

In August, does anyone know if there is reliable bus or shared taxi serivce between these secondary places?
1. Siem Reap to Beng Mealea and then onto Koh Ker
2 Koh Ker to near Preh Vihar where I can sleep(guesthouse or hotel)
3 . Preah Vihar or where I can sleep near Preah Vihar and Anlong Veng
4. Anlong Venh to Bantrey Chmar(a temple)
5. Bantrey Chmar to Sisophon
6. Sisophon to Battambang
7. Battambang to Kampong Chnang(100 miles north of Phnom Penh)
8. Kampong Chnang to Kompong…
Next august I will be visisting Angkor and I will be happy to have a giuded tour.
We are going to visit from very early morning , sunrise, to 1 or 2 o'clock in order to avoid hot afternoon.
So I looked for a privite tour and I find MAKARA TRAVEL : it seemed very serious and helpful agency.
Nobody know? She asked me 50 USD/day included english seaking giude and tuk tuk (2 people).
What do you think about the price?

I have my hotels booked already for 5nights in Siem Reap. Reaching Siem Reap airport at noon and will be leaving at 7.30pm. Should I do the Angkor Wat tour from the next day? 2 days or 3 days for the temple tour? And what other sights or activities in and around SR? Your sincere Views and Opinions is what I need. Thanks.

Hi.
This is not a travel related question as such, but I am hoping somebody might be able to point me towards a good online resource that may be able to assist me.
In various places on the internet I have found mention that the city of Angkor Thom had a canal or network of canals within the city walls. But I can never find any mention of a source for this information.
Does anybody know where I might be able to find some help on this rather geeky question?
