I'm sure this has been posted before but does anyone having any advice on teaching in Cambodia, companies to look out for/avoid?

Has anyone had much experience with the international centres? I've read they require Two years minimum for exp?

I'm currently teaching in Vietnam so if anyone has any questions about Vietnam I'm happy to help.

Not a teacher myself but the Khmer440 website for expats has a section called "Staff Room" devoted to teaching matters and may already have answers to many of your questions. You can do a search or join up and post your questions there. Here's the link : http://www.khmer440.com/chat_forum/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=10c318c6b47d195777e5d4cb17879314

Paid or unpaid?

Agreed with above, the two main Cambodian local forums Khmer440 and Cambodia Expats Online has numerous discussions on the subject. Search it before asking, because each year about 20 people ask this question. Don't be suprised because Khmer440 is run by a group of malicious regulars who make a hobby of picking on new people.

OP doesn't list any qualifications other than teaching in Vietnam. Good jobs require more than that, however there are many poor paying jobs where you can break even if you like a life style of self-denial..

Hi Citizen27. You might like to check out www.treakcommunitycentre.org and/or www concert cambodia.org/treak.html.

The Treak village school has several volunteer teachers of English at any time. The school is 4km from Siem Reap and can be easily reached by bicycle. The websites will tell you more.

I recently met a lady from Brisbane (australia) who is volunteering to teach English to senior students at Grace House which is also about 4km from Siem Reap.
