Onelegduff: THANKS and wow! I m also regularly changing there when in town. But from USD to riel, luckily.

Was it the desk at the right side from the entrance? I assume so.

As for the 2% difference: 2% was pretty much the maximum fluctuation of the USD/Riel rate in recent years as far as I remember. I recall larger fluctuations about 10 years ago. The difference between a bank rate (my bank) and the market in PP was about 10 riel maybe 15 in December. Thus, I share the concerns of other posters about the 2% difference. Unless much has changed in the last few weeks, the changer offering 2% more is either losing money, using fake bills, or, in a best case scenario, laundering money.

Still, the info on changers in the market might be helpful. If the rate is just a little better it is worth it alone for keeping pressure on the exchange rate. I know individuals have little impact but that does not mean giving up that impact.

So, why not just give us the numbers and let us do the math? By refusing to tell us the actual exchange rates, both inside and outside, you tempt us to question your motives, and rightly so.

Look why should I make it up, to impress members on this forum? I don't think so.
Because I want to post in accordance with my name?
I did not point out a ripoff, I pointed out a better rate of exchange.
I have made my recommendation, now check it out yourself. You check the math.
Why should I have to justify my post.
I will post no further on the subject.
