My wife and I are planning to fly to Siem Reap from Saigon at the end of Feb next year, after we depart we hope to fly to central or Northern Vietnam rather than return to Saigon. Can anybody advise what airports in Vietnam have flights from Siem Reap. We would prefer to continue our month long stay further north then travel south before departing Saigon.
We travelled internally last year using Vietnam airlines (booking locally), who is the best carrier from Siem Reap & who would recommend booking thru.
I hope somebody can advise.

Hanoi is the main airport for flying into north Vietnam and you will need to fly Vietnam airlines from Siem Reap.
You could also fly to Danang from Siem Reap but you may want to be further north then that in Vietnam and you can fly with Silk Air.
