Two nights, three days is reasonable for Siem Reap. Almost all hotels have tie-ups with authorized guides (there are 4000 of them authorized by the government in Siem Reap alone). We used one provided by our hotel for $35 a day and their tuk-tuk driver ($15 a day). The temple tour takes a minimum one day. We used the guide the first day, then explored both temple complexes ourselves leisurely on the second day. Get a full-body massage (4-8 dlrs an hour) and check out the dozens of restaurants and pushcart vendors in the Pub Street area. Soak in the hotel pool, if there is one. The massage (esp. foot massage) helps immensely since you walk a lot in the temples. Try to watch an Apsara Dance (esp. the one by the Apsara Theatre).
