Hi friends

For my Laos-Cambodia trip, I was just going to get my visa upon arrival in Siem Reap. I think its around US$25. Then I am flying to LP, Laos and will get my visa there. I think its around US$30. But then I am overlanding thru Laos and re-entering Cambodia and on to Phnom Penh and the coast. Is there anything I need to know about the re-entry? Someone in the forum here said to ask to make sure. I plan to carry a few passport-sized photos with me.
Thanks!

Ah, a bit of bad news. The visa fee for Cambodia is going up in just a few days (Oct. 1, 2014) to $30USD. Getting a VOA at SR is easy peasy, fill out a short form, hand over the fee in U$D (CASH) along with a visa photo and you're in. About the same for Laos, except that the fees vary by nationality, but most are around $30-$35USD.

Nothing different when you re enter Cambodia overland providing its a border crossing open to foreigners. Just watch out for tea money though if you cross in the weekend or late afternoon.

if overlanding south via pakse to stung trent, weekends & afternoons have nothing to do
with it. extortion there has gotten extortionate. expect a couple dollars stamp out fee
leaving laos, then entering cambodia, you pay $1 for the health check, and $5 for the
stamp fee. you can decline, but the fat man say "you no go cambodia!"

also, you can expect to sit at the border for a couple hours if traveling by bus. the fat man
will hold your passports until he decides the suckers have consumed enough overpriced
snacks and beer at his little snack bar.

There are no problems re-entering, once you leave Cambodia to Laos the first time your visa will expire, when you re-enter you will simply have to get a new visa. it doesn't matter when you last exited, no problem. Good to have some photos with you. If going by bus over that border it is just as #3 describes it.
