Hi there,

I will be driving my bike from Battambang and eventually ending in Kep in hopes of staying a few nights on Rabbit Island. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a secure place I can leave it parked for that period of time? Do they offer anything at the pier?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone!

I did this exact thing a few years ago. There's a store near where the boats leave and they were happy to look after my motorbike overnight for a small fee (from memory I gave them $1).
Not sure if things have changed much since then but I think if you indicate you're prepared to pay you'll always find someone who'll take care of it. Negotiate a price beforehand. Try to make sure that whoever looks after it will not leave it somewhere where it's a target for theft. Ideally they should bring it inside at night
By the way, if you're riding from Battambang, the drive from there to Koh Kong through the Cardamoms is outstanding.

**Thanks so much for the info. I was looking to drive through the Cardamoms on my way back to Battambang but was uncertain of road conditions. How were they when you went?

I travelled between Battambang and Koh Kong and back by motorbike (small 125cc Honda) around October last year. The road was still a bit muddy in patches from the wet season but no major dramas. Did it again from Koh Kong to Battambang by taxi (Toyota Camry) in December. The final 30km to Koh Kong are sealed. It's a bit rough in patches but if a Toyota Camry can do it you should have no problems with your motorbike.
There's a very basic but excellent place to stay overnight at a village called O Saom about half way between Koh Kong and Pramaoy. I can give you contact details if you're interested.
Things may change a lot during the wet season if that's when you're travelling as most of the road is not sealed.

:) Thank you so much for all the great info. Feel much more confident taking that route now. I would love to get those contact details from you when you have the chance.

I've sent you a private message with contact details for accommodation at O Saom.
