Hi
Is it possible to apply for an ordinary (business) visa on arrival at Phnom Penh airport or do you have to apply for a tourist visa, exit and then return before you can apply for one?
Anyone?

You can get the ordinary visa on arrival. Procedure is exactly the same as tourist visa. You just tick the appropriate section on the form and it costs $5 more.
You may already be aware but it helps to speed things if you have the correct fee in US$ and a passport photo for the visa. Will cost a dollar or 2 more if you don't have a photo.

Thank you :)
Do I need any other documents for this visa?
I'll be arriving in Phnom Penh to open a new business, so will be self-employed.

I last obtained an ordinary visa in September of last year and no further documentation was required. A friend of mine did the same in January of this year.
In the last year or 2 the Cambodian government has been enforcing the requirement for foreigners working in Cambodia to have work permits. However this is still by no means universal and does not make any difference to your ability to obtain the ordinary/business visa.

As Uomo said, no need for anything else to get an ordinary visa. You'll get it, no questions asked. After a month you can give it to an agent and extend for up to a year and that will be multi entry about $290. Registering a business can now be done online but there are teething problems. Registering tax is the trouble causer at the moment.
