Has anyone had any experience Microlight tours of Siem Reap. I'm going to be there in late March and have been offered this as a birthday treat! There are a couple of companies that I have come across, Aero Cambodia and Microlight Cambodia, both based just outside Siem Reap - but all a bit confusing as the same American pilot (Eddie) appears in reviews of both companies. If anyone has any insights or suggestions, they would be gratefully received.

About a year ago, services for Microlight stopped operating. There was not a lot being said in the media about what was happening. I had hoped to take a flight at that time (but didn't).

I've not heard anything bad about the company. It's possible that the owner of Microlight has changed the company name to get around problems (just guessing).

Would love to hear your feedback if you do get to fly.

I found them on Trip Advisor and have had a conversation with someone who took a flight last month, who really recommended it. But the confusion with the web sites does lend weight to your assertion that things are in a state of flux. Had an email from the operator today saying that I could ring them when I arrived to get my booking - so I'm feeling hopeful!

Last year the CEO of Aero Cambodia got in trouble for his fondness of children. I don't think it ended well for him.

Ah, that might explain things. Might explain why the same pilot is now appearing in the Cambodia Microlights Facebook page and website. Lets hope the people in charge now are more reputable!
