$100 a day sounds pretty god for a car and driver to me, it's a crap road for sure and the car takes some punishment. I remember the private car to Beng Mealea costing me $70 back in 2003.

Angkor surely is more interesting than Luang Prabang. We spent 4 full days there (5 nights), 2 full days in LP (4 nights and away for 2 nights in the middle). If I had to choose I would go to Siem Reap/Angkor again, LP, seen it, done it.
