Hello,

I am looking to travel from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap in November. I can't find much about going over land and flights seem pretty expensive. Is there a good way to get there over land?

Thanks,
Alex

Sure, there buses that go from Saigon to Phnom Penh, I like Mekong Express, trip takes about 6 hours costs $12USD. Then there are buses on to SR from PP. See http://www.canbypublications.com for schedules. Spend some time in PP or go straight on to SR, total trip is about 12 hours, and $22USD. Remember you'll need another visa if you plan to return to Vietnam. Cambodia has Visa On Arrival $20USD.

You could stop over in Battambang between PP & SR. Either continue by bus or take the boat

You can choose one two itierary bellows :
1/ boat trip/ Bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and connect bus from Phnom Penh to Moc Bai border and Saigon

2/ Boat trip/ bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and connect speed boat from Phnom Penh to Chau doc. From Chau Doc you can take bus to saigon or Can Tho.
