Hi,
I want to cross the aran/poipet border on November. I can get a visa on arrival but I want to avoid this because there's a lot of scams story about this.
So, I reached the cambodian embassy in my native, Indonesia to apply for a visa crossing from aran/poipet. They said they cannot issue a visa for an overland crossing, they only issue visa for those arriving on plane.
My option then limited to the scam-prone visa on arrival or the evisa. I want to ask if any of you has any problem with Cambodian e-visa when crossing to poipet?
Thanks,
Rony

I just got mine but I haven't used it yet...so hopefully all will be fine. I can tell you the application was pretty easy and I was approved within 24 hours.

Yes, you can use e-visa in Poipet.
Cambodia embassy in Indonesia is babbling nonsense. Cambodia visas do not specify entry points or mode of travel and any Cambodia visa is valid at any international border post.

Tell the idiots there its for the airport and just use it at the border crossing. As above its the same visa. Why would you bother with an e-visa? You still have to get a passport version sticker one anyway.

the problem is the cambodian embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia ask to see my flight ticket to Cambodia as a requirement for them to issue a visa.
Well, I don't have one. My flight will only take me to Bangkok! When I explained this, they said they can't issue a visa for me, instead the tell me to get it on arrival.
