Cambodia - Christmas and New Year

I dont want to be alone for either of these! I will probably arrive Cambodia around the 16th December? I'm going by myself and am looking at staying in a busy place with some decent bars and clubs.
One idea I had was to arrive in Phnom Penh on the 16th, visit the south (Sihanoukville and Kep) and then come back to Phnom Penh for the New year?

Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

if you stay in main tourist places (phnom phen on the lake, siem reap) the party will find you for sure.

I would think you could be better off staying in Snuk for the holiday, depends what your looking for, but it should have more of a holiday feel than the Phen, wherever i doubt youll be älone for long. have a good trip, if you need accom booking in the Phen p.m. me.

I like PP for the party at new year - it isn't full on madness like Bangkok but there are always plenty of people having a good time. Anywhere on the river is great - plenty of people along the tourist strip.
