Hi everyone, I'm planning to make a trip in Cambodia very soon. Unfortunately I have little time to organize this trip myself and I was thinking to hire the service of an agency, but it is looking like a real jungle on internet. I want to visit remote regions like Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri. If somebody have suggestions and can share their experiences with any agencies, that would be great. Thanks !

Bear in mind most of the contributors to this site will not use agencies but some of the guys who live in Cambodia may be able to point you in the right direction

having said that places like Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri are easy enough to get to these days(have a read of the LP guide on the plane over) and it will be easy enough to sort out something on the spot when you are there

Maybe Capitol Tours in PP. Been around for years and provide a wide range of services.

As BigAl says above, the easiest thing to do is travel to Sen Monorom (Mondulkiri) and Ban Lung (Ratanakiri) by public bus and then use local guides / drivers / tour operators once you arrive (they are listed in the LP guidebook)

The other option is to hire a private car and driver to drive to those places. It may give you a more personalised experience, but it will be much, much more expensive.

Hey, I did my trip with a travel agency online, middleways.com.
they responded quickly to my messages and organised a nice tailored trip for me.
however I'm not sure if they organize trip in Mondulkiri, but when I was to Cambodia it seemed easy to get there by yourself.
Have nice trip there

#5, are you touting for business?? I would advise anyone to avoid posters who advertise themselves either in a post or in their profile.

Depends on your budget. When planning Banlung last spring we saw on google earth the airstrip of Banlung but there is no more regular service. So we thought that maybe some bush pilot could bring us there - forget it! An agency in PP offered a trip for "only twelve-thousand-dollars" ... You may take the bus (it will be a long, long day) or you hire a driver. As Dale 164 said, the driver is not cheap but runs faster and is more safe. Busses sometimes collaps during the trip. Banlung is worth the long trip but do not exspect deep jungle. It's cut down for rubber and cashew plantations. Once in Banlung you may contact a local driver/guide to visit tribes and the Zircon mines and go up the river to get in tough with what is left from the former deep forest. It's a far out and very interesting.
