In SR , yOu will want to go into the main town at night. Pub Street is jam packed with people. It is quite a sight to see. Just use common sense for safety. Keep your wallet in a safe zippered pocket and don't flash you money about. We did a cooking class at Le Tigre de Papier. It was amazing. Also Blossom and Haven training Centres. There are several restaurants just north of the big market. We ate there for lunch one day. They are open to the sidewalk and the food smells will draw you in! We also ate good food at our hotel, The Motherhome Guesthouse when we were too tired after long days at the ruins.

Try to find the extra $50-100 in your budget for a guide for two days. It will be worth it, and really not much compared to what you will spend for the whole trip.
