hi everyone,
anybody fly from phenom phen to bangkok on air asia?
reason i ask is ive got another flight booked from bangkok to phuket (again on air asia) which leaves exactly an hour after i'm scheduled to land.
is that cutting it too fine? Ive read other posts which say Air asia is notoriously late... i'm wondering how they are on this particular leg.
Anybody know what would happen if i did miss it? would i have to pay again for the later flight?
(i understand the airline can answer these questions, and i will ask them too... but i'll believe you guys first.. im concerned the airline will give me the bum steer)

Yes it's cutting it too fine. All of my flights with Air Asia have been at least 2 hours late.
If you missed it then you would have to pay for another flight as you have bought 2 separate flights and as such is not a connection.
Remember that you will have to collect your luggage, go through immigration, go to the departures terminal and check-in again.

Forget about it, you would be very very lucky if you make your flight to Phuket. You will have to clear immigration, get your bags and then need to be checked in at least 45 minutes before departure. So that gives you 15 minutes to clear immigration and get your bags, so short from the Pukhet flight being very late, there's no way you are going to make it.
If you miss it, it's your loss, as you will have to buy a new ticket.

Flights with airasia may be changed up to 48 hours before departure time.... at a cost!
After that time, it's use it or loose it. Your current booking has equal chance to a snowballs chance in hell of you making it. Suggest you work or something like two and a half to three hours between flights. Any less than two and you need a lot of luck.
