Thanks about the food advice. Maybe I can live on fruits only and loose weight and get detox-ed on the side!

I've been reading that the travel from PP to Siem Reap by road is not a pleasure. Any recommendations?

We choose to land at PP because of convenient flight schedules. What if we dropped PP altogether if we could find a way to fly into Siem Reap? It seems such a waste to spend nearly 2 days travelling to and fro.

Personally I would give PP a miss unless you want to visit it or head to places in the south but with only a week time will be at a premium. Depending on what might float your boat fly direct to SR and then consider somewhere else you might want to go and then work out where best to fly out of

The trouble with the fruit it is often seasonal, I spent christmas /new year ( in a village) wishing the mangos were in season and then in April just missing out on the durians which were not quite ready. I would imagine in Siem Reap you will find more vegetarian food

Vegetarians don't eat fish, al. It's a contradiction in terms.

I like PP and have found theres plenty to see. Pity to miss it out as it is a huge part of what Cambodia is today.

You don't go to Cambodia and not go to PP. That's just silly.

#14 Sorry I disagree it very much depends on priorities and what one might want to see and do. Given only a week and taking two days out travelling does not in my mind seem to be the best option. However I added a caveat that included the option of flying one way either in or out depending on their chosen itinery.

Flying into PP, you ought to at least give it a little of your time. In a day, you could see all the most important sights then head off to SR. I agree with #14 for once (might be the only time)

I could revisit and edit #14 to clash if it would make you sleep better.

Hehehe. Thanks all and I hope westwood slept well!

Would not like to miss PP but don't want to spread ourselves too thin. Let me go back and reword flight schedules...

What is the best option for travel between PP and SIem Reap?

Thanks

I slept extremely well to wake up to a sunny day rather than wind and rain. A day in PP isnt going to spread you too thin. Unless you're going to more places than just SR.
