Hi. I am interested in traveling the Phillippines for 2 weeks starting in 3 weeks time. I am traveling with a friend (we are 2 females) and am concerned that i will not feel safe there. Could somebody please give some colour on safety and which areas to avoid (and which are safe)? Also, a suggested 2 week itinerary of your most recommended places to visit in the country would be greatly appreciated. I realise 2 weeks is not very long for such a vast country, but that is all the time I have…
I have committed myself to being in Hanoi, leaving Manila, at a certain time, figuring airfares would be within US$200 at the worst, with perhaps a cheaper budget deal. That is not what I'm finding, however.
Can anyone point me in the direction of an airline that will fly that route as cheaply as possible? Or what could I expect to pay on a carrier from Manila to Saigon, then a train to Hanoi, and what would the carriers/train companies be?
Many thanks in advance.
Think will finally take the bus to Penang.I know the bus leaves from Puduraya station and costs about RM25;right?Does anyone know at what time the buses leave? Can I just show up to buy a ticket on a Saturday? Will land on Saturday morning and want to go straight away to Penang.Thanks.
How much spending money (NZD) is recommended for a couple to take, who are staying there for 7 days accommodation taken care of.
Hi all, I am planning a 15-day trip to KK and Kuching in July/August. What is the climate like at that time? Does it rain heavily enough to disrupt the fun?
In general, there is little info on the year-round climate there. It would be nice if someone would post a month-by-month summary of what to expect in KK and Kuching.
Thanks.
Hey guys,
just for information, if you have to travel from Manila to an other island, such as Palawan (as far as i am concerned), DO NOT take AIR PHLIPPINES, it sucks!!!
They always delay their flights.
I was in Palawan last week, my flight was at 9 am, and we took of at 4pm.
We spent 1 day at the airport, there were no information concerning the delay.
So maybe I was unlucky, but I'm pretty sure it often happens.
Speaking about Palawan, I've spent 6 days at Port Barton.
It's about 3 hours north from…
i would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there recently. i checked mulupark.com bout rooms, and it quotes rainforest rooms at 50 RM twin share.... i have emailed them to ask if that means the room is 100 rm for 2 people. and what about for 1 person.
i would like to know if there is any other accomodation besides the rooms + dorms (other than the expensive resort) in the national park - like are there places to stay at then entrance (like Mt. kintabalu Natl Park).
thanks...
I have 26 days in Malaysia from Augusy 6-1. As of right now, I plan on the following intinerary.
6-8 in Chinatown Inn hotel in KL
8-10 in Twine Pines Chalet in Cameron Highlands
10-12 in Penang at the White house Hotel
12-13 in KB
14-18 in Perehentian
18-26 in Sabah
26-1???
Any suggestion for the 26-1. Anything can be rearranged (e.g. move Sabah to a later date to fill something else in). Should we stay longer in the places we are in or go to another place? Does this sound good for a diver/food lover…
hi
has anyone gone up the mahakam river in kalimantan lately? is it still possible to go by public boat, as the lonely planet suggests. if so, how far can you get? i met one guy on the road who has been there and told me you have to charter a boat, since there is no public transport.
cheers
I.
