My husband is hoping to get a couple of nice suits made while we are in Kuala Lumpur next month. Anyone have any recommendations? And about how much should we expect to pay?
Can't tell you about costs. But there are lots of tailors. If you go to the big shopping centres you will find them, and there are more upmarket tailors in places such as Bangsar Shopping Centre. | 1
Do a search on TT, you should come up with something. As GM said there are tailors in most malls and of course out in the suburbs which is where I go. Good choices of materials, good workmanship. I pay 150- 180RM for cotton shirts. Suits are in the 1500- 2500RM range, depends on the material. | 2
I have been living in Kuala Lumpur for a few years and I can only recommend my tailor in KL, Andrew. He is a certified tailor with many years of experience. He does very good suits and shirts at very reasonable prices. Very professional and honest chap. You can get an excellent custom made suit for less than USD$500. The shop is called AA Tailor in KL. Just google for "AA Tailor in KL". | 3
