Reasonable lodging near National University

I will be going to a convention at the National University Health System in Queenstown and I plan to extend my stay to take in the sights.
Finding hotels too expensive. Can anyone suggest a vacation rental/ serviced apartment near the university and also near the metro rail? I have an elderly companion who may not be able to tolerate long walks to the station.

I like that website #2. Especially, 'Bed type: Real bed'.

I always find real beds preferrable to artificial ones.
Nothing worse than when you check in, and discover that your room has a hammock,
like the huts on Gilligan's Island.
