More on Langkawi

I will be in Langkawi mid January next year and am looking for a good homestay or hotel which will not be too far away from the beach. I hope to stay for 3 days and then go to Penang for 3 days. Will this be possible and how do I do this. And read about Rumour Hostel. Anyone knows more about it?

Very easy to get from Langkawi to Penang...ferry is best choice. You can also fly.
Just to let you know, unless changed, there is no public transport on Langkawi....taxi from beach area to ferry point only.

Many thanks for the info. I plan to rent a car for a couple of days and then a ferry across to Penang.
Any suggestions for a good hostel/ hotel homestay in Langkawi.
