Malaysian officials stamping an used passport page?Country forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Malaysia
Hello, | ||
you can ask, depends on the mood of the immigration guy at the time. if you are female and pretty u probably got a better chance, and a big smile might help. | 1
I've never had a problem with any immigration official doing that. Unless they are having a very bad day there's no reason they shouldn't. | 2
I often ask them to do that and I have never had a problem. | 3
Unlike Australian Immigration who just stamp wherever they like in spite of being asked nicely to stamp a certain page. | 4
I agree with #1. Often Msian immigration officers will just stamp anywhere, and sometimes asking them actually annoys them - so it depends entirely on the mood of the officer at the desk. #3 said - They will even tell me the page number to tell the next immigration where to find the stamp. | 5
I arrived in Malaysia last night and without asking they filled in a space on a page that already had two other stamps on it. Last time I came through they also stamped on a page with other stamps. If you're lucky you won't even need to ask! | 6
No problem with that. My passport also was almost full with 1 blank page left and I arrived with some apprehension (March 2010). But the Immi officer was kind enough to look for a page where he could stamp it. So I think that should not be a worry ! I have a brand new passport since that and already used it again at KLIA last July ! LR | 7
OK. I had no problem. The guy was happy to help. | 8
