Cruise - shore excursion in Kota Kinabalu

Can you help us, finding decent priced shore excursions (companys, tour guides) for K.K., pcking us up from the port?

If you go to the harbour in the morning, you can do the island hopping with the boats and be back in the evening. Quite affordable.

We were on a cruise which stopped in KK earlier this year. We walked into the city and explored from there. Just a caution re taking an island boat trip... we saw tourists leaving on quite small boats. Later a heavy rainstorm developed and the seas turned quite rough. I remember thinking I'd be abit worried about getting back in time for the ship's departure if we had gone on one of those small boats.
