Bali to Yogyakarta one way on motorcycle in JanuaryCountry forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Indonesia
Planning on renting a KLX 250 Enduro Motorcycle (same bike I own at home) and travelling from Bali to Yogyakarta over around 10 days. Looking for advice from anyone who might have done this before or have traveled between those points. Good places to stop in between, what to see. But most importantly i'm looking for advice on the weather situation, will the rain destroy my trip in mid - late january? The company that hires bikes one way says its no problem but i'm looking for some real world advice. I can not change my dates of travel, i'm an experienced rider, and i'm going to do this alone unless anybody wants to join. Thanks in advance.
The weather is unpredictabe, but it should be fine. Locals also don't stop riding their motorbikes during the rainy season. The (heavy) rain is usually in the (late) afternoon and (early) evening, so it makes sense to start riding in the morning, when it is often still sunny. | 1
I cant help with weather predictions but can you tell which bike agency you found for hiring bikes? | 2
