On a regular airline, a passenger usually allowed to carry on one luggage PLUS either a purse, briefcase or laptop bag.
On Air Asia or Cebu Pacific, it states only "one" piece of luggage allowed. Does this one piece mean that if you carry on a luggage, you cannot carry a briefcase ? Or are purse, laptops, briefcase in addition to the one piece of luggage ?
If they do allow one piece plus briefcase, is the briefcase weighed too ? Or is it separate from the 7 kg limit on luggage ?

Many 'regular' airlines now also apply the one-bag rule.
In Europe, one piece means one piece. In Asia, the combination of less strict rules, being foreign and smiling at the check-in girl will make them forget about it. I've never had my hand luggage weighed by AirAsia and have often been over the limit. If it turns out to be a problem, check something in...
