advice on a route from cebu to leyte

Hi, I'm travelling to Cebu in august for 7 weeks. I'm planning on travelling for about 3/4 weeks and then going to visit my family in Leyte for the remaining 3 weeks. Does anybody have any suggestions on places I should visit in the central visiyas area so that I didn't have to travel too far away or too much as I'll be on a tight budget. I'd like to visit un-touristy places and stay in cheap accomodation. Thanks inadvance :-)

From Cebu, you have many easy options - Malapascua, Moalboal, Bohol, Siquijor, etc. There are also some good spots in Leyte. What are your interests, and what area in Leyte will you be staying?
