You can try Allson Genesis which is situated in the heart of KL. It is located in Bukit Bintang has superb accessibility to food and shopping areas.
The place there is quite clean and costs $45 USD per room. I have stayed there before and the sheets are clean and the place is comfortable.
I like it most because you can just walk to food places in the middle of the night as the hawkers are opened until 3-4am in the morning! Excellent choice of accomodation.
Hope you find a good place to stay! Enjoy your stay in Malaysia! Angel

It's in the corner of jalan tongshin. Yep, friendly staff and clean as well, hot shower, breakfast (bread and jam), tea or water if you want. The best deal is you can enjoy the hawkers around.
Enjoy, Einna
