Can I get a visa on arrival in Bintan island in a US passport or do I need to get one in advance?

Why is this posted as Singapore? I had to look it up as I've never heard of it, but Bintan is part of Indonesia. I'm sure that normal Indonesian visa requirements, whatever they might be for Americans, apply there.

It's posted here because I was told that most people who go there go from Singapore. This is also posted in the Indonesia branch.
And of course normal Indonesian visa requirements apply, but I want to know if Bintan is a VOA port or if I need to get a visa before i go.
So, thanks for nothing, smart ass.

Bin tan may be a part of Indonesia, but it is often and most easily accessed from Singapore so this is the perfect place for this post.
As far as I am aware all passport holders are issued a visa upon arrival on the island. I dont believe you can get in advance at all.
Good luck

Why jman98 even bothered to answer when he had to look up Bintan in the map I don't understand. I find it naturally to reply to the post's which I know the answer to.
You get Visa upon arrival, and I'm pretty sure the shortest visa is a 7 day visa that cost around 10$. Going there in a week myself, and read all of this, I don't have the link anymore though as I knew I didn't have to worry about visa.
