It's a long bus ride. You can stop in Melaka for a day if you want.

I'll try to check Transtar's schedule and post later.

The journey is about 5 hours and the bus will stop at a rest-stop (at Yong Peng in Johore) for about half an hour for the passengers to take a toilet break and fill their tummies.

The Malaysian Train (SG>KL) is good, comfortable and inexpensive, either lounge-chair or over-night sleeper. However, the station is a bit hard to access, not at a Metro station. Take a taxi ($25? from Airport ,or $10? within town). Immigration and Customs are split, at the train station and "JB" crossing. KL's newer "Sentral" station, connects KL's half-dozen or more metro transit systems. Of course, scheduling may be the deciding factor.
