We will be arriving in Singapore at the start of April for a one night stop-over, and we were hoping about some advise about what to check out.
We fly in around 5pm and we're staying at a cheap hotel near the KLIA-LCCT terminal.

We're hoping to head into the city centre and have dinner etc, any advice would be appreciated.

what kind of taxi price would we expect to see?

You might want to re-check your plan. KLIA airport is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, NOT Singapore.

Twin towers at night are pretty impressive. Huge shopping mall filled with restaurants below them. Otherwise the China town area of KL great for cheap tasty eats and walking streets is always pretty interesting there.
