im not that sure what exactly you're asking
maybe all australians talk this way
so here's my translation of your posting

Hi guys,
I am an australian, currently now in india. I am travelling to singapore in a few days and am thinking of flying back to india after singapore

Can I get an indian visa in singapore? do I have to fly back to australia to do so?

Are there any cheap hotels in singapore, with internet and a pool table
I am also considering the painful bus trip to KL or Penang just to visit the australian embassies there

KL Indian embassy is not known as good place for Indian visa , if you don't have any luck with Penang , then head up to Bangkok , a much better place to get Indian visa . Ignore what the embassy/visa office interenet sites say , the info is not always reliable and doesn't always reflect what happens in practise.

In Penang you can get an Indian visa but it takes several days. If you're in Singapore you should try applying for it there. Getting an Indian visa anywhere outside of your home country involves having to wait a few days.
